The topic of religious and good values has always been hot topic in education. The discussion is almost never ends. More and more people are involved in the discussion, especially parents who have children under 18 years old. They should close attention to their children’s education.
Many cases has shown us how norms, religious and universal values has been broken. An example of those is drug abuse by children under  15 years old.
Now, parent must find a good way to solve such problem and to protect their children from the bad impact of broken values happening in this country.  For Septiani, who have three sons, she prefers to put her sons to Islamic school is because she feels that the norms has become lower and lower in Indonesia. In her opinion, the best solution for Septiani’s sons is to educate her children at Islamic school. For her, Islamic school doesn’t only teach basic education but also religious values which will be a guidance for her sons.
Dina aufan, in the other hand, chosen Labschool, which has no religious component. She prefers to teach her daughter at home. She assumes that teachers and parents should teach both of norm values and knowledge in balance so the children will have a good personality. Besides that, Dina Taufan added that teaching religious values is the duty of every parents that could not be replaced or be depended fully upon schools or any educational institutions.
Opting the types of school of the children depend on their parents, whether secular or Islamic school. Commonly the parents’s choice of educational institution is related to their own ideology.
According to Darmaningtyas, an education expert, the decision to choose school for children, should consider the children’s own will. There is no reason to say that some types of school are better that others. He said that for those who believe that religion and formal schooling should stay apart but who also want to give their children a firm religious grounding, extracurricular religious classes offered at a some institutions may be a good alternative. He also added that basically schools are universal. Those are places for giving and teaching about love, honesty, faith and good values of life
