An essential of the knowledge and
technological developing is hoped to give positive Impact for creating the
modern society that can appreciate their traditional culture. With knowledge,
the society will turn, from the condition before, into a modern society.
besides that, knowledge also becomes the important thing which can bring the
society to know about what must be kept as an inheritance in the past.
Knowledge developing, specially a west
culture which is coming to every life field has opportunity to destroy a local tradition
unwittingly when it can't be managed by everyone and society who receive it. The minimal skill and capability of a society makes an information and a new
thing from west country can’t be absorb well, so the society that has not been
ready yet couldn’t get a positive effect more.
There are many opinions about the west culture,
minimal there are 2 big opinions. First in contra position, people who reject
the west culture have an opinion that the west culture only has the bad impact
for education field, the west culture always gives children or students an easy
duty. For example when the student has a homework, he just search in internet
without asking his friend or someone, so makes him lazy, and doesn’t have a
good relations with his environment, not only that but also the west culture
makes students have bad morality such as bad life style, free to do everything
what they want, free sex, drug, watching porn easily, and others. So, the west
culture only damages the east culture value teaching and it clearly against of
education aim for giving good values about what they’ve to do for their self
and society.
The second opinion is from pro position,
people who accept the west culture believe it can make the education better
than before, because the west’s knowledge is able to facilitate students with
the new method of learning. The new method which gives the new direction of
learning, it changes the old paradigm that the main learning resources aren’t
only from a teacher but also the environment and everything which capable to
transfer information that can be processed by student.
from the two different opinions, we can
take the conclusion that the west culture, directly and indirectly has
influenced the education field in east country, for the ready people when it can be
managed well, they will get more advantages than disadvantages but for
people who aren’t ready to face it, will get the little benefit from it.
